Abstract

The article provides an overview of the factors influencing the effective performance and durability of studded tires. New technology of producing studded tires using vulcanized circular tire tread band is introduced; the technology allows to achieve more resilient stud placement, providing less rubber tensile strain on the stud socket and increased studding durability.
