Abstract
The possibility of using polyhexene (PG) in multilayer rubber products as antioxidant and as promoter of rubber adhesion to fabric has been investigated. Formulations of rubbers based on various combinations of general purpose rubbers were selected: SKMS-30 ARKM-15 and SKD; SKI-3 and SKD; SKI-3. In the composition of rubber compounds, instead of the traditionally used rosin, indene-coumarone resin and antioxidants, PG samples with a molecular weight of 910 ·103 were introduced in dry form and in the form of a 15% solution in heptane. For the production of rubber-fabric samples, calico (GOST29298-2005) and belting BF-BD 2030 (GOST 332-91) were used. Tests of rubbers and rubber-fabric samples were carried out in accordance with GOST 269. Experimentally, it was found that for all the studied rubber compounds, the presence of PG does not affect the vulcanization characteristics of these compounds. It is shown that the introduction of PG into rubber compounds of various compositions and for various purposes based on combinations of rubbers leads to a slowdown in the aging process in air at temperatures of 70 and 90 ° C, as well as some improvement in the bond strength in rubber-fabric samples.
