Abstract
The possibility of obtaining elastic film products based on polyisoprene using a mixture containing zinc dibutyldithiocarbamate, diphenylguanidine and sulfur as a vulcanizing system has been studied. It was shown that the optimal physical and mechanical properties of polymer films obtained using this mixture can be achieved at lower (in comparison with traditional) temperatures of the vulcanization process. Under similar conditions, composites based on polyisoprene and SBS thermoplastic elastomer can also be obtained. Addition of compounds that are active antioxidants and free radical scavengers (ionol, hydroquinone) into the system had no appreciable effect on the rate of formation of intermolecular cross-links, that suggests a non-radical nature of the process.
