The Role of Surfactants in Adhesives Based on Nitrile Rubbers

Abstract

The purpose of this work was to study the effect of surfactants (surfactants) included in the composition of rubber (residual emulsifier) ​​and surfactants introduced during the preparation of compositions on the adhesive properties of cold curing adhesives based on nitrile rubber. The objects of the study were adhesives based on nitrile rubber (NBR) of various grades containing surfactants of various types and structures. The main results were obtained using the method for determining the contact angle and the method for determining the bond strength during delamination. A positive effect on the adhesion properties of microadditives of selected surfactants was revealed.
