Abstract
This report presents the results of studies of Ferroflex iron oxide filler (JON) modified with a lactam-containing melt (LSR) in order to increase its effectiveness as a medium-activity filler. The modifying agent of LSR was a eutectic melt of ε-caprolactam, N-isopropyl-N’-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine (antioxidant IPPD) and maleic acid. It is noted that in the process of modification, the formation of complex compounds that improve the properties of the modified filler is possible. The experimental data obtained earlier were confirmed, according to which the modifying components of LSR contribute to improving the dispersion of the filler in the rubber matrix, which will increase the degree of filling of rubber. The tests carried out in this work have shown that the use of a JON filler modified with LSR can contribute to improving the performance properties of rubbers (in particular, massive tires).
