Abstract
This work is devoted to the study of 1,2-polybutadiene effect on the main technological, physical, mechanical and operational properties of unfilled and filled with carbon black rubber compounds and vulcanizates based on synthetic isoprene rubber SKI-3. SKD-777 rubber produced by PJSC «Nizhnekamskneftekhim» was used as 1,2-polybutadiene. Rubber compounds were made on laboratory mill at temperature of 50 °C. It was found that the combination of SKI-3 with SKD-777 leads to an increase in cohesive strength, Mooney viscosity and to a decrease in reversion during vulcanization of rubber compounds, while deterioration of some physical and mechanical characteristics of vulcanizats was observed. It has been experimentally confirmed that the combination of synthetic polyisoprene with 1,2-polybutadiene leads to an increase in the fatigue endurance of vulcanizats under repeated stretching. The optimal ratio of SKI-3 and SKD-777 (80/20) has been established. Filled with carbon black vulcanizats based on this ratio of rubber can be recommended for use in the production of tires and rubber products instead of rubber compounds based on 100% SKI-3, subject to the revision of formulations.
