Abstract
The paper presents preliminary results of research on the creation of weather-resistant and dynamically stable rubbers for rubber-cord shells intended for operation as part of a pneumatic rail transport. Double and triple combinations of rubbers of domestic and foreign production, selected on the basis of resistance to the external environment and dynamic loads: ethylene propylene diene (EPDM-50, Dutral TER-9046), chloroprene (Denka PS-40A), butyl- and chlorobutyl rubbers (BK-1675N, HBK-139) have been studied. Tests of experimental rubbers were carried out using standard methods of analysis. The physic-mechanical properties of experimental rubbers before and after thermal aging in air, dynamic endurance and bond strength with rubberized cord are determined. It has been established that rubber based on a triple combination of rubbers EPDM-50, BK-1675N and Denka PS-40A, taken in a ratio of 45:45:10 (wt. h.), has a balanced composition, has an improved set of properties and can be recommended for use in products operating under atmospheric conditions and multiple deformations.
