Abstract
Calculations of stress-strain state, heating temperature and cyclic durability of passenger tire 135/80R12 of different detail of its structure
using finite element analysis (FEA) are provided. A discrete simulation scheme of the rubber cord composite was used, separately considering
cord threads and a rubber matrix. It is shown that the change of calculated values depending on the number of cord strands simulated by one
finite element (FE) is close to linear dependence. This allows you to use a series of calculations and extrapolation dependencies based on them
to determine the characteristics of the tires of their real structure. According to the described methodology, the tread pattern zone of the
135/80R12 tire and the bead zone of the 175/70R13 tire were calculated.
