Abstract
A complex computational and experimental approach to the creation of rubber membrane (RM) formulations is presented and applied in
practice using the example of a flat power RM of a paper testing device. An analysis of the literature data showed that for the manufacture of
the RMs, the required set of properties can be provided by using a mixture of NR and BR rubbers. Simple laboratory tests were carried out in an
inhomogeneous complexly stressed state, which is realized during the operation of the RM, which are modeled using the method of punching
with a spherical indenter. The finite element method was used to analyze the stress-strain state. It is shown that finite element modeling in
combination with simple tests can significantly reduce the time and material costs for the creation of RM, as well as improve their performance.
