Abstract

The influence of iron oxide filler (IFO) in the form of a powder on the mechanical properties of rubbers for solid tires was studied. The choice
of the optimal content of fillers was carried out using the method of minimizing the objective function. Regression models were written
as polynomials of the second degree. It was shown that the addition of fullerene-modified IFO to rubber for massive tires in an amount
of up to 20 phr practically does not result in decrease of the strength within the experimental accuracy and reduce of hysteresis loss.
The addition of other mineral fillers in this amount is always accompanied by a noticeable deterioration in performance. The results obtained
indicate the possibility of classifying this filler as a medium-active one.
