Abstract
The influence of natural and acetonanile (A)-modified shungite (Sh) on the thermal and thermal-oxidative degradation of SKMS-30 ARKM-15
and thermal aging resistance of its vulcanizates were investigated. Thermogravimetric Analysis (TG 209 F1 Libra NETZSCH, N2 atmosphere)
and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (Pyris 6 DSC Perkin Elmer, O2 atmosphere) were in use. Rubber undergoes thermal degradation at
Тн = 270 °С, whereas addition of 100 phr of Sh results in increase of Тн to 380 °С. Resistance of vulcanizates towards thermal aging was
evaluated by means of the changes of tensile strength and elongation at break. The tensile strength of vulcanizates without Sh after 3 days
of aging at 100 °С is decreased by 40 %, whereas introduction of Sh reduces it to 20–25 %. Modification of Sh by A results in enhancement of
the above-mentioned effects. Addition of 7 % Sh modified by A, results in increase of the activity of Sh by 20 % and antioxidant properties of
A as antioxidant are improved too.
