Abstract

The fundamentals of the environmental policy of the company Togliattikauchuk LLC have been explored. These fundamentals are aimed at ensuring the environmental safety of companies production line and increasing its profitability by forming a reliable integrated approach to the use of natural resources and the conservation of natural ecosystem. The company established the program called “Environmental and Energy Saving Measures”. Within the framework of this program Togliattikauchuk LLC developed strategically important environmental measures. These measures concern the development of production chain, increase of its social development potential at the level of the Samara region, as well as the company's image on the industry market. The most successful environmental projects for the period 2008-2019 are also highlighted, as well as a number of environmental performance indicators and their impact on the status and development of the enterprise. The environmental management system (EMS) has been implemented at Togliattikauchuk LLC since 2008 in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 14001. Since 2017 EMS has been operating at Togliattikauchuk LLC within the framework of an integrated enterprise management system along with quality management systems and occupational health, safety and energy management. Specific examples of the effective application of EMS in the production of synthetic styrene-butadiene and isoprene rubbers, as well as in the field of wastewater treatment, energy use, and the environmental impact of production are under consideration. The correct formulation of strategic tasks in the field of ecology and developed solutions made it possible to approach several problems at once, while reducing production costs and non-target costs. The management strategy in the field of ecology complied with the requirements of the international standard ISO 14001 brought Togliattikauchuk LLC to the international market level.
