Abstract

Method of structuring of borosiloxane (BS) in a functional layer of a composite with simultaneous saving of high self-healing characteristics
of previously developed material has been developed. A two-component silicone compound was used as a structuring agent, which is crosslinked
by polyaddition mechanism. Morphology of the obtained material was studied by scanning electron microscope FEI Quanta 600 FEG.
Periodic structures were found on a slice of the material, which, apparently, are sections of a three-dimensional network formed by siloxane
bonds. Multilayer self-healing materials on the basis of structured BS have been created and tested. It is shown that the time of self-healing
after a perforation, puncture or cut does not exceed several seconds, as in case of pure BS. An advantage of the multilayer composite with
structured BS is an absence of the material flow out through the damage perforation. The material can be recommended for healing of damage
in various multilayer systems, including tires.
