Abstract
The article presents the results of work on the creation of a formulation of a rubber seal for hydraulic stuffing boxes for sealing the wellhead operated by rod pumps in conditions of oil production with high waterlogging. Rubber compounds that swell upon contact with reservoir water were obtained on the basis of BNKS-40AMN butadiene-nitrile rubber with a standard vulcanizing system and CMC-9B sodium carboxymethyl cellulose. On their basis, ring seals were made, which were installed at the wells of the Krasnooktyabrskoye field in the Republic of Tatarstan. It is shown that the most promising material for creating rubber seals for oil seals with high performance is a composition based on BNKS-40AMN with a standard vulcanizing system and with 10 % CMC, which has a nominal strength of 7,3 MPa, a tensile elongation of 130 %, a residual strain after stretching of 4 % and a Shore A hardness of 92, a static coefficient of The friction coefficient is 0,41, the dynamic coefficient of friction is 0,35. Rubber seals manufactured according to this formulation have a service life 1,85 times longer than those currently used.
